Firefighter Injured After Vienna House Fire
A home under construction went up in flames around midnight on the first of February. Emergency responders arrived at the Vienna construction site to see the flames visible from the second floor, and quickly moved to stop the spread of the fire.
Images released by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue show a nearly-completed home with smoke rising from the second-floor windows, with fire crews using hoses, aerial ladders, and other heavy equipment to contain the blaze.
According to the official Fairfax County Fire/Rescue twitter (@ffxfirerescue), the fire took place in the 1000 block of Westwood Drive. More details are emerging, and the cause of the fire is as yet unknown. However, the report mentions one firefighter injured on the scene.
At AmeriWell Clinics, we’re thankful for the essential services provided by our local first responders. A construction site is a dangerous place, and firefighting is a dangerous job. When the two are combined, there’s a high risk of injury.
If you’ve been injured on the job (whether you work in construction, firefighting, or something completely different) it’s important to get the medical care you need for a full recovery. Fortunately, chiropractic specialists at our clinics are here to help.
Chiropractors Who Care
Work injuries can be serious, and serious injuries call for serious recovery. You don’t need to be a firefighter or construction worker to experience an injury on the job, and even office work can cause nagging pain, stiffness, and a loss of mobility. Whatever your profession, a Tysons chiropractor from our office can help.
What To Expect From Your Chiropractor
Recovering from a workplace injury isn’t something that should be rushed. It takes time, patience, and a plan. When you get in touch with a chiropractor from one of our offices, you get an opportunity to create a completely personalized recovery plan with a specialist who’s as dedicated to your recovery as you are.
Your first appointment with us sets the stage for the rest of your chiropractic care. We’ll go over your medical history and ask for more details about your accident so we can get to the root cause of your pain. We’ll also carry out a physical examination to determine what additional care may benefit you.
What Does A Chiropractic Adjustment Entail?
During a chiropractic adjustment, a specialist will apply sudden, forceful (but safe) motions to different parts of your joints and spine. These are intended to ease stiffness and improve your range of motion – especially if you’re experiencing nagging pain after an accident.
Most of our patients assume a visit with one of our chiropractors will mean a lot of cracking and popping. While this is a well-known part of a chiropractor’s toolbox, it’s just one method out of many. Every case is different, and every patient responds differently to a variety of chiropractic approaches.
